Designed by the architect Rodney Wright, this challenging Par 72, opened in late November 2006, undulates on 106 ac of rugged savannah, surrounded by majestic trees and crossed by the Rempart River.
Golf course
Former hunting ground rock, the natural landscape has been preserved to keep the impression of African savannah. The landscaping of the course was done by an international team. Each hole has been specially designed to take advantage of spectacular views of the Rempart mountain, the chain of mountains, but also of the Tamarin Bay.
Golfers will love the contrast between the wildness, the rough surroundings and smooth greens and fairways!
With 7437 yards from the professional tees, the course has four standard Par 3, ten Par 4 and four Par 5. Each hole offers five different options of tees for golfers of all levels: Professional, Championship, Club, Senior / Ladies and Ladies Championship.
Because of the climate and terrain, golfers, residents of 119 villas - who are automatically members of the golf club - and their guests are encouraged to use golf carts on the course. A little over 4 miles of trails for the golf carts were designed to ensure the comfort of the golfer. A refreshment golf cart is available along the course.
Golfers of all levels are allowed on the golf course but a maximum handicap of 36 is required and a certificate may be requested. Beginners are advised to familiarize themselves with the rules and etiquette of golf, keeping and pace of the game with our resident pro before starting to play at the Tamarina.
Club House
Fully air-conditioned with a Pro-shop, cloakrooms, bar, restaurant, shop and storage for golf bags, the clubhouse overlooks the 18-hole. Perched atop the cliff, it offers a breathtaking panorama!
Golf Academy
Whether you are a beginner or experienced golfer looking to improve your game in general or a particular facet of your game, a professional golfer and his team of golf instructors are available-upon reservation- for private or group reserved lessons of video coaching, etc..
Facilities
A range of facilities and services is offered to the golfer on the domain and throughout the course, including an internal shuttle service, a fantastic practice area of 328 yards, large putting greens, chipping/bunking facilities and handicap system for members.
The rental equipment includes golf carts equipped with GPS, clubs and golf bag. Practice balls are available at the Clubhouse.
